The UAE government has launched a new ministry to help families in the country. After this initiative of UAE, social work and child development experts are hoping that it will further improve the framework of running the country's social service. This step of UAE is being praised everywhere.

By focusing on specific issues like family harmony, emotional intelligence, parenting skills and child welfare, the ministry can provide clear guidelines and resources for social workers and organizations, which will make the work of these organizations easier. Apart from this, programs will also be organized under this ministry for people preparing for marriage, where the youth will be guided.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, on December 8 appointed Sana Suhail as the head of the Ministry of Family.

There will be fewer fights in families.

Cindy Santos, family therapist at GEMS Wellington International School, emphasized the importance of the new family ministry. She believes the ministry can create a supportive culture for families by prioritizing mental health, family counseling and community support. Santos hopes the ministry will provide accessible family consultations and parenting workshops.

He said that the reasons for fights in families include communication problems, work life balance and mental health challenges, which the ministry will help in reducing.

Regarding the Ministry of Family, Sheikh Mohammed said that it will focus on policies to help families, increase fertility rate and reduce family breakdown. Under this, programs will be made for the youth preparing for marriage. It will also help in balancing work life.

He said the ministry will protect the rights of children, help vulnerable groups and bring efficiency in the work of social service institutions by regulating them.
