How did the accident happen?
Foreign media, citing security sources, said that just after 7:00 pm local time (1800 GMT) when the market was crowded with people, a black BMW drove into the crowd at high speed. Haseloff said the Saudi man had driven a rented car with Munich license plates to the Christmas market.
The car drove for 400 meters in the market.
