This is not the first time that an attack has taken place near the Indian Embassy, such cases have come to the fore before as well. The Indian Embassy is not fully operational since 2020, as the Indian government has largely shut down its operations after the Taliban took over.
Indian embassy staff also attacked in Jalalabad.
Recently, the local staff of the Indian Embassy was attacked in Jalalabad, Afghanistan on Tuesday. Due to the Indian Embassy not being operational, only the local staff works there.
