Speaking at the 20th anniversary of the World Uyghur Congress, Taiwan's ambassador described how people in the occupied areas are facing atrocities. Various countries should unite against this. Shih Zhai-wei criticized China and the United Nations in his statement.

Taiwan's Ambassador to Germany Shih Zhai-wei criticized China. He said that China is not capable of being a partner of the United Nations. During this, while taking a jibe at the United Nations, he said that given the atrocities against Uighurs, Tibetans, Hong Kong, and its people in China, it should have been expelled long ago, but it did not happen.

The 20th anniversary of the World Uyghur Congress is being celebrated in Munich. During this, the Taiwanese envoy exposed the atrocities of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in its occupied areas.

20th anniversary of the World Uyghur Congress

Speaking at the 20th anniversary of the World Uyghur Congress, Taiwan's ambassador described how people in the occupied areas are facing atrocities. Various countries should unite against this. Shih Zhai-wei criticized China and the United Nations in his statement. He said that despite knowing about all the atrocities committed by China against humanity, the United Nations is not taking any action against it.

Cited the United Nations Charter

Citing the UN Charter, he said that if one had put together all the CCP's atrocities against the Uyghurs, Tibetans, Hong Kong, and its people, the UN would have ousted the People's Republic of China (PRC) a long time ago. He said that Article 6 of Chapter 2 of the Charter. It is written in it that a member of the United Nations who has repeatedly violated the principles can be expelled by the General Assembly on the recommendation of the Security Council.

Now if we stick to the same charter of which the UN is so proud, then China is not eligible to be a partner as long as the CCP is ruling the country. In his statement, calling on people suffering at the hands of the CCP to unite, he said you watch my back and I watch yours, protecting each other from the enemy that tries to hurt us.

Question on China's claim

This is why Uighurs, Tibetans, Hong Kongers, and Taiwanese show solidarity from all over the world. Questioning China's claim on its occupied territories, Taiwan's ambassador said the Uyghur community is not Chinese and they are being violently re-educated to become Chinese. Why is East Turkestan an occupied territory and is being controlled and governed by China, if the Uighurs are Chinese then why are they kept in isolation camps?

Why did China occupy Tibet?

Similarly, he said, if Tibet was always a part of China then why did the People's Liberation Army (PLA) have to militarily occupy Tibet in 1950? This is not a matter of separatism and discussion, but a matter of inhumanity and condemnation. Questioning China's expansion towards Hong Kong, Taiwan's envoy asked, who were the six million Hong Kongers handed over to China in 1997? Aren't they human? Are they pieces of furniture, or merchandise? Take a look at this, this has been happening in Hong Kong since 2019.

Comparison of the people of Hong Kong

Furthermore, the Ambassador reiterated his statement, as he compared the people of Hong Kong to furniture or merchandise, claiming that they were not being treated as precious cargo, and instead claimed that They had been treated as slaves in the motherland.
