India's neighbouring country China is not stopping its activities and is not backing down from trying to establish its rights over parts of India. Once again China has shown audacity. A peak in Arunachal Pradesh was recently named after the sixth Dalai Lama, after which China got angry and reiterated its claim over this area once again.

A team from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS) climbed a 20,942-foot-high peak in Arunachal Pradesh which had never been climbed to date. On one hand, this peak had never been climbed even once and on the other hand, this peak had never been named to date.

Due to this, after the climb, NIMAS decided to name the peak after the sixth Dalai Lama Tsangyang Gyatso, who was born in Tawang in 1682. The peak was named after the sixth Dalai Lama as a tribute to him, as well as this decision was taken to remember his contribution. NIMAS is located in Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh, which works under the Ministry of Defense. The peak has been named after the sixth Dalai Lama as a tribute to him.

What did China say?

After the peak in Arunachal Pradesh was named after the sixth Dalai Lama, neighboring China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said, "I don't know what you are talking about. I must say that the area of Zangnan (India's Arunachal Pradesh, which China calls Zangnan) is Chinese territory and it is illegal and invalid for India to establish "Arunachal Pradesh" in Chinese territory.

China calls Arunachal Pradesh as Zangnan, moreover, China has been continuously renaming places in Arunachal Pradesh since the year 2017. India has rejected China's claims on Arunachal Pradesh and said that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India and China's renaming will not change this reality.
