China has gained a huge hold on the Arabian Sea. Along with the airlines, China has also built an international airport at Gwadar. It is being said that the construction of this international airport will strengthen Pakistan's plans. The operation of Gwadar Airport will begin on January 1, 2025.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif described the airport as a gift from China. He acknowledged its importance as a key project under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The airport is a key part of a $246 million (about Rs 2,000 crore) infrastructure investment designed to improve regional connectivity and promote economic integration.

The airport's strategic location on the southwestern coast of Balochistan, 14 km north of the city, makes it a central hub for global trade.

Gwadar's new status as an international gateway will enhance its role in CPEC, making it an important trade hub linking Central Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.

One of the largest airports in Pakistan, it will handle both domestic and international flights, establishing it as a vital element in Pakistan's broader economic development.

Let us tell you that in October this year, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang inaugurated Gwadar Airport online. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also present at the inauguration.

Gwadar first came into the news in 1950. At that time, the ruler of Oman had offered to sell this small fishing island. This offer was first made to India, but the then government of India rejected this proposal.
