Biden's big plan against Islamophobia, will Trump implement his strategy?
The Biden administration has prepared a national plan to tackle Islamophobia in America. This strategy has been formulated to stop the increasing violence, hatred, and discrimination against Muslims. US President Joe Biden introduced a proposal in May 2023 to combat Islamophobia, as fears of hatred and discrimination were growing among American Jews.
The Biden administration worked on the anti-Islamophobia plan for months. This national plan was released on Thursday, five weeks before Joe Biden leaves the White House. This clearly means that the responsibility of implementing it will mainly be on the newly elected President Donald Trump if his administration wants to do so. In such a situation, the question arises whether Trump will implement this strategy.
Biden's big plan against Islamophobia
The strategy formulated by the Biden administration regarding Islamophobia states that threats against American Muslim and Arab communities have increased in the past year. It also mentions the murder of six-year-old Alfayoumi, who was stabbed to death in Illinois in October 2023. Alfayoumi was an American Muslim boy of Palestinian origin.
What is in this national plan of the Biden administration?
This plan of the Biden administration also describes the detailed action that can be taken. Apart from this, four basic priorities have been mentioned in it.
- Raising awareness of hatred against Muslims and Arabs and wider recognition of the heritage of these communities.
- To comprehensively improve the security of Muslims and Arabs.
- take steps to prevent discrimination against them
- To encourage solidarity among communities to combat hatred.
Apart from this, it further states that Arabs are targeted just because they are considered Muslims. Discrimination against Muslim and Arab Americans is illegal. We want our common humanity to be recognized. Greater unity can be created by adopting equal justice, freedom, and security for our shared values.
