Bangladesh is not stopping… Hindu woman gang-raped and died

Minority community in Bangladesh has been under attack for a long time, along with this their religious places are also being targeted. Now Hindu woman Basna Malik (52) has died mysteriously in Narail. It is being said that Basna was raped. After which she died.

According to family members, Basna Malik returned home last Tuesday (24 December) at around 8 pm. After which she started vomiting. Later, after having dinner, she went to sleep without telling anything to the family. On Wednesday, when her condition worsened, she was admitted to Jessore General Hospital. She died on Thursday night at around 11 pm.

Suicide after gang rape?

On the condition of anonymity, a local youth said that Basna was gang-raped. Apart from this, she was also harassed forcibly. Due to which she was upset. This is the reason why she committed suicide by drinking pesticide out of shame.

Son said that his mother was treated badly

The deceased's son Rinku Malik said that his mother was treated very badly. She was harassed. She was treated badly. I demand that I be given justice. After the death, the body was post-mortemed. After which it was buried in the local crematorium in Poradanga village of Majpara.

What did the police say about the matter?

In this regard, OC of Sadar police station Md Sajeedul Islam has called Basna's death mysterious. He said that information about the case was received in the afternoon. We talked to some villagers and found out that Basna had a relationship with a boy from the same village. On Tuesday night, the local people caught her red-handed.

After which the people present there snatched her money and sexually assaulted her. Later she committed suicide by drinking poison out of shame. He said that the matter is being investigated. The cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report comes.
