Russia's Foreign Ministry has made a big accusation against America regarding the Lok Sabha elections being held in India. Recently, an American agency report commented on India's religious freedom. On which now the Foreign Ministry of Russia has given its reaction. Russia has claimed that America is trying to interfere in India's Lok Sabha elections and unbalance the internal politics in the country.

In a media briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova raised questions on the US, saying, 'The US is yet to provide "credible evidence" on the involvement of Indian citizens in the failed assassination plot against Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu.'

'America does not understand India'

Referring to the report of the US agency on religious freedom in India (USCIRF), spokesperson Zakharova said that America lacks understanding of India's national mentality and history. RT News quoted Zakharova as saying that America is making 'baseless allegations' about religious freedom, which Zakharova says are insulting to India.

India also opposed the report

India had expressed strong opposition to the USCIRF report. India had issued a statement on the report saying, 'The US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) is known as a biased organization with a political agenda. He continues to publish his propaganda about India as part of the annual report. We have no hope that USCIRF will even try to understand the diverse, pluralistic, and democratic essence of India. The efforts made by them to interfere in the world's largest electoral process will never succeed.
