Aligarh's Babu fell in love with a Pakistani woman and crossed the border.

People do all sorts of things in love. Some fight with their family, some change their city and some even cross the border to meet their lover. A similar case has come to light from Pakistan's province of Punjab. Where Punjab Police arrested an Indian citizen from district Bahadun, who had come to Pakistan in love with a Pakistani woman.

According to the police, the name of the person arrested is Badal Babu and he is a resident of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh. The police arrested him after getting information about his presence in the area. Based on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Ghulam Raza, a case has been registered under the Foreigners Act 1946.

What did the Pakistani police say?

The police report said that the suspect was arrested near a factory around 7 pm. On interrogation, he identified himself as Badal Babu, son of Kripal Singh and admitted to being a resident of Aligarh, India. When he was asked to show a visa or any legal document allowing him to stay in Pakistan, the suspect failed to do so. He confessed to staying in Pakistan illegally, following which he was arrested and a case was registered under the Foreigners Act.

Police spokesperson Ajmal Waheed said that the suspect was produced in court a day after his arrest, from where he was sent on 14-day judicial remand. The suspect has been directed to appear in court again on January 10, 2025.

A senior official, on the condition of anonymity, said that during the initial interrogation, the suspect has admitted to having a love affair with a Pakistani woman. The suspect revealed that he had connected with the woman on Facebook, after which he developed a relationship with her and crossed the border to Pakistan.

The officer further said that Badal Babu had tried to cross the border twice before but he failed. In his third attempt, he succeeded and entered Pakistan. After which he met the woman in Mandi Bahauddin. Police is still investigating the real nature of the suspect's intentions of illegal migration to Pakistan.
