Ajit Doval discussed the Indo-Pacific region and other security issues with his American counterpart
The Indian Army informed on Tuesday that the process of withdrawal of Indian and Chinese troops from Depsang and Demchok in Ladakh has been completed. Many countries of the world including Russia and America are keeping an eye on this agreement between India and China. A day after this move, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval spoke to his American counterpart Jake Sullivan on the phone on Thursday.
The two officials discussed the latest security developments in the region, and the NSA emphasized the need for further efforts to ensure stability in the Indo-Pacific region and globally. The White House has made public the information about this call in a statement five days before the elections to be held on November 5.
What did the White House say in the statement?
The White House said in a statement, "US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan spoke to Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval over the phone today. The two officials discussed regional security developments and stressed the need for more efforts to ensure stability in the Indo-Pacific region and globally."
Apart from this, in the statement, America has welcomed the development in the bilateral partnership of the two countries.
