Alert issued regarding rain
The weather department in Saudi has predicted heavy rains in most parts of the country till Monday. Heavy rains, hail and strong winds are also expected in the holy city of Mecca to Al Lith and Al Kunfudah and Riyadh. The Saudi National Meteorological Center (NCM) has also predicted rain in some parts of Jazan, Asir and Al Baha in south-western Saudi Arabia on Thursday. Along with this, fog may also cover some parts of the Eastern Province.
Along with this, the weather department has also predicted rain in the northern parts of the country. Moderate to heavy rain is also expected in some parts of Al Jawf, Medina, Al Qasim. Civil defense officials in Saudi have issued an alert for the safety of the people amid the possibility of heavy rains in many parts including Mecca, Medina and Riyadh.
Civil defense officials have asked people to be vigilant and cautious. The Saudi Directorate General of Civil Defense has asked the public to be cautious, stay in safe places and stay away from places that may be vulnerable to flooding, including valleys.
