At the same time, more than 76 people were injured. Their treatment is going on in the hospital. Some seriously injured are admitted to the ICU.

Hafiz Omar, spokesman for the governor of Ghazni province, said a passenger bus and an oil tanker collided on the Kabul-Kandahar highway late Wednesday night, leaving several people injured. The second was in a different area of ​​the same highway, which connects the Afghan capital to the south.

Omar said the injured were taken to hospitals in Ghazni and officials were in the process of handing over the bodies to their families. Patients in more serious condition were referred to Kabul. He said the casualties included women and children.

The number of dead may increase.

The second incident took place in Ghazni's Andar district, where a bus collided with a large truck. In this accident too, many people lost their lives and dozens were injured. Immediately after the accident, relief and rescue teams reached the spot and admitted the injured to nearby hospitals. Officials said that the condition of many of the injured is critical, due to which the death toll is expected to increase.
