A few moments before his death, the man wrote a message to his family, asking, should I say my last words?

The terrible accident in South Korea has shocked the whole world. People waiting for their loved ones at Muan International Airport just kept waiting. 176 out of 181 passengers have been confirmed dead in the Jeju Air flight crash in Muan. According to a passenger's message, the plane carrying 181 people tried to make an emergency landing after a bird hit it.

One of the people waiting for his family members has shared the last message of a passenger on the plane. In which the passenger is talking about saying his last words.

Passenger's last message

Just before the crash at 9 a.m., a family member wrote via KakaoTalk, “A bird hit the plane wing and we can’t land.” When the person asked how long this had been happening, the family member responded a minute later. “Just now, when should I say my last words?” There was no response from the member after that.


According to a press brief issued by South Korean officials, the control tower issued a warning at 8:57 am. The pilot of the plane immediately announced May Day (emergency code) at 8:58 am and tried to land at 9 am, but crashed three minutes later at 9:03 am while landing without landing gear. The brief said that shortly before landing on runway number 1, the airport control tower had issued a warning that there was a risk of bird collision during landing.
