A 35-year-old teacher had relations with two high school students in school, there was a stir after the matter came to light…

Not only in India but all over the world, the Guru-Shishya relationship is considered very sacred. In India, it is said that the role of the Guru is like that of a potter who shapes the student in the form of a pot. But in the last few years, the dignity of the Guru-Shishya relationship has been rapidly declining. One such case has come to light these days, where a former high school teacher has been arrested on charges of having relations with two students. It is being said that she can be jailed for up to 10 years.
According to the information received, the case is from Texas, where Molly Colleen Spears, who teaches at Barbers Hill High School, is accused of having a relationship with two students of the school on June 12, 2023. According to the report, the teacher had planned to meet the student through text messages. After this, on February 11, she surrendered herself to the police, but was released on bail in exchange for 50 thousand dollars. Now after the addition of new charges, her troubles have increased further.
The Barbers Hill Independent School District confirmed that Spears taught at the school from August 2021 to June 2023 and then suddenly resigned. However, it was not clear why she was not immediately arrested. The school administration did not make any official comment on the matter and said that information related to internal investigation cannot be shared.
The teacher's lawyer, Christopher L. Tritico, says Spears was informed of these new charges just two days ago. He said, "We immediately began the bail process. Miss Spears is looking forward to facing these charges in court soon and putting an end to this matter." However, according to Texas Education Agency records, her teacher certificate has been deactivated and she is prohibited from teaching since September 2024. If Spears is convicted of this second-degree crime, she could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
