Hurricane Helen has caused such devastation in South-East America that there is no place left in the region where water is not visible. Help for the stranded people is being provided through air routes. Chief of National Ocean Air Administration (NOAA) Andrew Clark said that this rain is more than expected, while private meteorologist Ryan Maye said that this is a lot of rain, which can be estimated from the fact that 20 trillion gallons of water has fallen only on Georgia, Tennessee, Carolina and Florida.

The horrific situation in Asheville, North Carolina, worsened due to the storm when the electricity and mobile services of the area were disrupted. Officials said that the roads were closed after the rain and landslides and they were using air routes to deliver water, food and other supplies to the affected people.
