15 months of war have come to an end, what are the main points of the Israel-Hamas deal?

On Wednesday, mediators in Qatar's capital Doha announced that Israel and Hamas have accepted a ceasefire deal after 15 months of fighting. Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani said the ceasefire agreement will come into effect from Sunday, adding that work is ongoing with Israel and Hamas for its implementation.
The Israeli government statement said that some final details are pending for the ceasefire and it is expected to be voted on in the Israeli parliament on Thursday. The ceasefire has been divided into three parts and some details of the first phase have been made public. Let us tell you that the points of the next phase will be discussed during the first phase itself. Let us take a look at some important points of this deal to stop the war that took the lives of more than 46 thousand Palestinians.
How will the ceasefire be implemented
The ceasefire will take effect on January 19. In the initial six-week ceasefire phase, Israeli forces will gradually withdraw from central Gaza and displaced Palestinians will return to their homes in northern Gaza. However, almost all the buildings have been destroyed in this war and are no longer habitable.
According to the deal, 600 trucks carrying humanitarian aid will be allowed to pass through Gaza every day of the ceasefire, of which 50 trucks will carry fuel and 300 trucks will be sent to northern Gaza. In return, Hamas will release 33 Israeli hostages, including women (soldiers and civilians), children and men over the age of 50.
Hamas will first release female hostages and those under the age of 19, followed by men over the age of 50. As soon as the ceasefire deal was announced, a festive atmosphere was seen in Gaza and people heaved a sigh of relief after months.
30 to 50 Palestinians will be released in exchange for one Israeli
Israel will release 30 Palestinian prisoners for every civilian hostage and 50 Palestinian prisoners for every Israeli female soldier. Israel will release all Palestinian women and children under the age of 19 detained since 7 October 2023 by the end of the first phase.
According to reports, the total number of Palestinians released will depend on the number of hostages released and could range between 990 and 1,650 Palestinian prisoners, including men, women and children. Hamas will release the hostages over a period of six weeks, with at least three hostages being released each week. The deal stipulates that live hostages will be released first, followed by the return of the bodies of dead hostages.
The mediator gave a guarantee that the agreement would be enforced
The implementation of the agreement has been guaranteed by Qatar, Egypt and the US. Negotiations on the second phase of the agreement will begin on the 16th day of the first phase and are expected to include the release of all remaining hostages along with Israeli male soldiers, a permanent ceasefire and a complete withdrawal of Israeli troops.
After this, the third phase will begin, which is expected to include the return of all the remaining bodies and the beginning of the reconstruction of Gaza under the supervision of Egypt, Qatar and the United Nations. Let us tell you, America, Qatar and Egypt have given verbal guarantee to Hamas that Israel will not resume attacks during the next phase of talks after the first phase and a permanent ceasefire will be reached in the next talks.
