Z Morh Tunnel: Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah said, 'My heart says that PM Modi will soon...'

Sonamarg Tunnel: PM Modi inaugurated the Z-Morh tunnel. During this, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha were also present.
On Monday (January 13), PM Modi arrived in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after the assembly elections were held in September-October last year.
PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sonamarg tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday (January 13). During this, CM Omar Abdullah praised him a lot. CM Abdullah said that you gave the people of Jammu a chance to choose their government. These projects not only reduce the distance of hearts but also the distance from Delhi.
Along with this he said, "My heart says that very soon, you will fulfill your promise to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, which is to restore state status to the Union Territory."
As soon as CM Omar Abdullah made the comment about restoring the state's status from the stage, the people present there welcomed it with applause.
CM Omar Abdullah said on the stage in the presence of PM Modi that you had said that you are working on ending the distance between hearts and Delhi and this is actually proved by your work, this is your second program in Jammu and Kashmir within 15 days. Earlier, you gave the gift of a railway division to Jammu. Today, you yourself have come to Sonamarg. You have come to inaugurate this tunnel.
The CM began his address by paying tribute to the seven people who were killed in a terror attack near the tunnel last year.
The Chief Minister said that those who do not want the welfare of this country, those who do not want to see peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir, such people can never succeed, they will always have to face defeat here.
The 6.5 km long Z-Morh tunnel in Sonamarg area of Jammu and Kashmir is strategically important. The construction of the Z-Morh tunnel cost Rs 2,716.90 crore. Work on the Z-Morh tunnel started in May 2015 and it was expected to be completed by 2016-17. However, its work was completed in almost a decade.
