Discussion on the reason for defeat

This time BJP lost three out of four Lok Sabha seats in Jhansi division. Banda, Hamirpur and Jalaun went to Samajwadi Party. While BJP retained control over Jhansi seat. Also, BJP did not expect such a bad result in Bundelkhand. During this, a meeting was held recently. When the meeting started, CM Yogi Adityanath asked MPs and MLAs to tell him why we lost the election! To which MLA Rashmi Arya replied, she said, officers do not listen to us. Corruption has increased. Work does not get done at police stations and tehsils without giving money.

Meanwhile, MLA Rashmi Arya was still speaking when CM Yogi interrupted her. Yogi Adityanath said, do you have any proof or evidence of your statements! If there is a complaint against any officer or employee, then give proof. We will take strict action against him. It is not right to say this without proof. As soon as Yogi Adityanath said this, there was silence in the meeting. Everyone started looking at each other. Apna Dal MLA Rashmi Arya also became silent. BJP's ally party Apna Dal has 13 MLAs in UP.

The leaders expressed their views

Then Yogi Adityanath started the discussion, he said, what happened this time that we got less votes. As many leaders, so many opinions. Someone said that people were angry against the party candidate. If the ticket had been changed, the results would have been different. One said that if the seats had been exchanged between the candidates, we would have won at least one or two seats. An MLA said that we were not able to fight the election properly. From campaigning to booth management, everything was a mess. A leader said that the message went among the backward and Dalits that reservation is about to end. Yogi Adityanath kept listening to everyone quietly.

CM Yogi told the reason for the defeat

In the meeting, all the MLAs expressed their views one by one. When everyone had spoken, it was Yogi Adityanath's turn at last. Everyone was shocked to hear what he said. He said that our party's leaders and public representatives have become disconnected from the ground. They have gone away from the public, that is why we faced this situation in the elections.

'Will win the assembly elections'

CM Yogi said that the leaders who remained among the people were successful in winning the elections. He also asked all the leaders present in the meeting to take the work of the government to every family. CM Yogi told the leaders to keep doing their work and its promotion is also important.
