Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday attacked PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah over the stock market. He said that for the first time we noticed that during the elections, the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Finance Minister commented on the stock market. The Prime Minister said four times that the stock market is going to grow rapidly.

Rahul Gandhi attacked PM Modi and Amit Shah.

After the Lok Sabha election results, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a press conference on Thursday. He attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman regarding the stock market. He said that the BJP knew what would happen on June 4. This was the reason why the biggest leaders of the BJP asked people to invest in the stock market. This should be investigated.

Rahul Gandhi, who was elected MP from Rae Bareli and Wayanad, said that for the first time we noticed that during the elections, the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Finance Minister commented on the stock market. The Prime Minister said a couple of times that the stock market is going to grow rapidly. His message was also taken forward by the Finance Minister and Home Minister. The Home Minister even said that shares should be bought before June 4. The Prime Minister also said the same and repeated it on May 28.

'He knew he wouldn't get an absolute majority'

Rahul Gandhi said that the biggest leaders of the BJP gave a message to retail investors. They had information that the BJP would not get an absolute majority. They knew what was going to happen on 3-4 June. There has been a loss of Rs 30 lakh crore. Select people have benefited by thousands and lakhs of crores of rupees. We demand an investigation against the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and those who conducted the exit poll.

'This stock market is the biggest scam'

Rahul Gandhi said that BJP's internal survey was predicting 220 seats. But, the exit polls showed more seats. Why did the Prime Minister and Home Minister advise five crore investors to buy shares? Who are the foreign investors who are taking advantage of this? This is the biggest stock market scam. A JPC should be formed to investigate this.

Now the situation is not the same as before: Congress MP

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that we will put pressure on the government regarding this matter. We will demand a JPC investigation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not be able to work the way he used to because the situation is not the same as before. Congress is not just talking about the government. Crores of people in the country have suffered losses in the stock market.
