Nidhin Valsan IPS: This is a story of courage. And this courage has been shown by IPS officer Nidhin Valsan. Nidhin not only defeated stage 4 cancer, but also defeated it again after getting cancer for the second time. Now Nidhin is cancer free. Nidhin is posted  as DCP in Delhi Police.

Today we will tell you about this courageous officer. Nidhin has written a book named 'Cancerman to Ironman: A Police Officer's Journey of Arresting Illness.' In this book, Nidhin has written about those moments of his life when his courage was failing and Nidhin was fighting it again and again. Ultimately, Nidhin won because he understood one thing in life that one has to keep the mind strong and that too in every situation.   

Nidhi was born in Kerala and became an IPS

Born in December 1985, Nidin hails from Kannur district of Kerala. His family includes father CP Valson who has retired from BSNL. His mother is U Chandri Valson, wife Ramya and a son and a daughter. He was selected as IPS in 2012. He is an IPS officer of AGMUT cadre batch. Nidin's first posting was in 2014 as ACP Sarita Vihar. After this, Nidin was also Additional DCP of Outer District and Rohini District. After spending about 3 years in Delhi, Nidin was transferred to Lakshadweep in 2017. After staying there for three years, he was transferred to Goa in 2020. He got the post of Goa SP Crime. 

Fought cancer in 2020

Nidhin Valsan IPS Success Story:  We all know that Corona had knocked in the year 2020. During this time, Nidhin suddenly started having body pain. Initially, he felt like a common pain, but when the pain did not stop, he got worried. He got a full body checkup done. The tests continued for several days and finally the doctors suspected cancer. When the cancer test was done, it was found that Nidhin had stage 4 cancer. He got scared, but the very next moment he decided to fight. His family also got scared, but he did not give up. Cancer treatment started. Nidhin was admitted to the hospital for cancer treatment. During that time, Nidhin also got covid twice. He also had a lot of body pain. 

During that time, Nidhi had to take 9 chemotherapy sessions and anti-body cocktails. Nidhi's appearance changed. Slowly, Nidhi came into recovery mode and finally he recovered. 

...when Nidhin got cancer again

Time kept passing. Nidhi felt that he was cured, but fate had something else in store. Cancer gripped Nidhi once again. In 2023, a lump appeared on his back. He went to the doctor. He underwent a biopsy. When the report came, it was found that Nidhi had cancer again. Initially, Nidhi was very upset, but later he told everything to the family. Now he was treated again. In June this year, he underwent 'bone marrow transplant' surgery. Now Nidhi is cancer free. He said in a conversation with Crime Tak - I am absolutely fine now. 

Nidhi had solved the child's murder case

Meanwhile, when Nidhin was SP Crime in Goa, he solved a famous case. A woman had killed her child. The woman's name was Suchana Seth. Nidhin was the officer who worked day and night to solve this case. Now Nidhin has been transferred to Delhi. He has been posted here as DCP.
