Sirohi. A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Digginadi village of Sirohi district of Rajasthan. Where a mother became so cruel that she killed her twin sons with a flower on the very first day of the new year. After that, she herself committed suicide. The reason was that she was tired of taking care of the innocent children.

Shiv and Shakti were born 1.25 years ago

The incident took place around 2.30 pm on Wednesday. According to police inspector Babulal Rana, Rekha, a resident of Digninaadi, was married to Yogesh Chipa in Sevadi village of Pali district about five years ago. Rekha had one and a quarter-year-old twin sons, Shiva and Shakti. Rekha had come to her maternal home about 15 days ago.

Seeing the scene, my senses were blown away

On Wednesday, Rekha sent her mother to the market on the pretext of buying some goods. During this time, she poisoned both her sons and also consumed poison herself. When her mother returned, she found all three in an unconscious state. Seeing this, her mother lost her senses. Hearing the screams, the neighbours gathered and everyone immediately rushed them to the hospital. On reaching the district hospital, the doctors declared both the children dead. Seeing Rekha's critical condition, she was referred to Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital, where she also died last night during treatment.

I did not like the crying of the innocent…

Rekha's mother said that Rekha was often worried about taking care of her twin sons. It was becoming difficult for her to take care of both the children. One child would sleep and the other would cry, due to which she was mentally exhausted. Due to this stress, she took this extreme step. Before her death, Rekha had also given similar statements to the police.

On the first day of the year, the whole village was in mourning

The police have collected evidence from the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. The incident has shocked the entire village. The police are investigating the case and trying to assist the family. The last rites of all three will be performed together today.
