The thief took away the pie

Such a unique incident of theft took place in North Yorkshire, England, knowing about which everyone is stunned. The thief did not steal any valuables, but the packed food prepared for Christmas, which is said to be worth about Rs 27 lakh. The chef said that the van contained steak and ale, turkey and butternut squash pie along with gravy and custard. These items were prepared for the York Christmas Market. The chef further said - "I think the thieves did not realize that they were stealing 2,500 pies along with the van. But I want to tell you that my name is written on them, so it is not easy for you to sell them".
An appeal to thieves
After this incident, the chef appealed to the thieves and said- If you are a thief and are reading this post, then I appeal to you to please keep these pies in a safe place so that we can at least distribute them to the needy and they do not get wasted. The police have also been informed about this unique theft and they are investigating the matter.
Police also sought help
North Yorkshire Police has appealed to the people of the city for help. Chef Tommy also warned people about thieves and said that if anyone offers to sell him the pie made by him, then contact the police immediately.
