Police have caught such a consignment on the border of Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh. This consignment was being taken to Bihar in a 14-wheeled truck and contained 95 boxes of 8 PM English liquor. The price of this liquor in the open market is around five to six lakh rupees. Whereas this liquor was to be sold in Bihar for 10 to 12 lakh rupees.
According to Ghazipur police, on Sunday, information was received about this consignment passing through Bhavarkol block. On this information, the police blocked the Badhanpur culvert. Meanwhile, a suspicious truck reached there. When the police checked the truck, it was found that its registration number was fake. After this, the police checked the goods loaded in the truck. 95 boxes of illegal liquor were found inside. These boxes were filled with bottles of 8 PM English liquor. This liquor is more than 820 liters.
The price would have doubled after reaching Bihar
According to the police, the price of this liquor in the open market is around five to six lakh rupees, but as soon as it reaches Bihar, the price of this liquor would have increased to 10 to 12 lakh rupees. According to the police, along with seizing the entire consignment including the truck, the driver of the truck, Suraj Yadav son of Hari Mangal Yadav, resident of Khalilpur police station Bahriabad, has been arrested. During police interrogation, the accused told that he was bringing a consignment of liquor from Haryana.
RPF jawans lost their lives in liquor smuggling
