War campaign for Shuddh: 231 cases registered in one week in Rajasthan! A fine of Rs 5.53 lakh deposited in the treasury
In Rajasthan, from the first date of the year 2022, the Legal Metrology Cell of the Consumer Affairs Department is running a war campaign for Shuddh. Under this, 104 inspections were conducted on Thursday, and 38 cases related to weights and measures, and 20 cases were registered for violation of package rules under irregularities found. In 55 cases, an amount of Rs 1,21,500 was deposited in the treasury as mitigation. Advance action is being taken on 3 cases.
Naveen Jain, Government Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department, informed in this regard that continuous inspection and action is being taken by the team of Legal Metrology across the state. A total of 470 inspections have been conducted so far by the officers of the department in this campaign that started from January 1.
Out of this, 162 cases related to weights and measures and 69 cases related to package rules have been registered. So far, a total fine amount of Rs 5 lakh 53 thousand has been deposited in the treasury.
