Virdharam Seoul died in a road accident near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh on 11 February 2025. His Swift car collided with a truck going ahead near Balhaur on Kanpur Express Highway at around 7 am on Tuesday. Two companions of Virdharam Seoul were seriously injured in the accident. His last rites were performed on 12 February in village Galaberi of Barmer district of Rajasthan. His funeral procession was about two kilometers long. A huge crowd gathered.

Virdharam Seoul, a resident of Galaberi village in Barmer district of Rajasthan, recently came into the limelight when the police seized property worth crores earned from drug trafficking. Several cases were registered against Virdharam under the NDPS Act and the police seized his bungalow worth two crores, three luxury buses and a car. Just 19 hours after this action, he died in a road accident.
This was the first time that Barmer police had frozen the property of a drug peddler. There were 10 cases registered against Virdharam Seoul from 2012 to 2023, including three under the NDPS Act, four cases of assault, two cases of illegal arms and one of vehicle theft. The police followed the legal process for about six months, took approval from the competent authority in New Delhi and then took action.
To legitimize his illegal earnings, Virdharam also formed a company named "V.R. Seoul Construction", in which he was showing the money he got from smuggling as business profits. The police had to investigate the matter in depth and eventually his property was confiscated.
Mysterious story of death: Accident or bad luck?
On February 10, when the police were confiscating Virdharam's property, he was going to Gaya in Bihar to perform the last rites of his ancestors. The next day, on February 11, his Swift car met with an accident near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Virdharam died in this accident.

Thousands of people attended Virdharam's funeral on February 12 in Barmer district. While the police considered him a smuggler, the villagers considered him a helpful and cheerful person. Pictures of his funeral procession are going viral on social media, in which a huge crowd can be seen.
Will Virdharam's property remain in the possession of the government? The police had frozen a total of five properties of Virdharam. Now his family has 45 days in which they can appeal to the competent authority. If the appeal is rejected, then this property will be transferred to the government. He has a luxurious bungalow worth two crores in the village. Along with this, he also has many luxury cars and many luxury buses. The new bus service from Jaisalmer to Delhi route was launched on 28 January 2025.
