He was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

In the video going viral on social media, it is seen that after the game stopped, the players were going towards the dugout, when suddenly lightning struck and many players suddenly fell down simultaneously. At the same time, some players were trying to get up during this time.

According to The Mirror, goalkeeper Juan Choca Lacta was also involved in the accident. He suffered severe burn injuries. As there was no ambulance available at the scene, Choca was taken to the hospital by taxi and his condition remains critical. In addition, three other players - 24-year-old Christian Cesar Pituy Cahuana, a 16-year-old and a 19-year-old player - were also injured. It is said that their condition is stable.

The match was abandoned following the incident. This is not the first time such an incident has occurred on a football field. The tragedy follows a similar incident in Indonesia earlier this year, where 35-year-old Septian Raharja was killed by lightning during a friendly match.
