In a statement given to a media house, the woman said that here women do not even have the right to live life on their own terms. She raised the question that does she not have the right to love according to her heart? Does she have to ask someone for this too?

She said that if she too gets the right to live on her own terms, she is ready to forget the public beating. Talking to Indian Express, the victim asked what was her fault, that she fell in love, doesn't she have the right to love, does she have to ask someone for this too? The 38-year-old victim woman has said that she got married five years ago. She also has two children. Despite this, she fell in love with another young man.

The woman was called to a kangaroo court and punished

The victim said that earlier she used to meet her lover secretly, but when her husband came to know about it, he threw her out of the house. Finally, on 27 June, she left her husband's house and went to her lover. After this, she and her lover were called to the Kangaroo Court and were publicly flogged. She was punished like the Talibanis of Afghanistan. She was made to stand in the middle and first a dozen people circled around her and then she was publicly flogged.

An attempt was made to kill her by beating her in public. Even when she fell on the ground due to the beating, the accused did not stop and kept lashing her. Not only this, stones were also thrown at her. A video of this entire incident has also gone viral on social media. After this, the police have registered a case against the accused TMC leader Tajimul Islam under sections of attempt to murder and arrested him.
