A girl from Anupshahr town in UP has accused a young man from Ambedkar Nagar district and his family of breaking the relationship for not giving a Scorpio car and 15 lakh cash in dowry. The victim has also accused her fiancé of luring her to Bengaluru by flight and having physical relations with her in a flat on the pretext of marriage. In this case, the Kotwali police have registered a case against the accused and started an investigation.
Had physical relations for three days

After which the relationship was fixed on 12 November 2020 with the consent of both the families. After the relationship was fixed, the accused Hariom called the victim to his flat in Bengaluru by flight on 11 January 2024 and they maintained physical relations continuously for three days by promising marriage. On 14 January 2024, the accused fiancé sent the victim to her home. With the consent of the family, both were to get married on 18 April. Before that, on 3 March, the rituals of Tilak and Godh Bharai were performed in the presence of the family members of both.
A few days before the wedding, the accused fiancé Hariom and his family demanded Rs 15
lakh and a Scorpio car in dowry. When the demand was not met, they refused to marry. The victim said that on December 3, 2024, the accused Hariom and his family reached the victim's house and started beating her, refusing to marry when the dowry demand was not met. The victim has now filed a complaint in the police station and appealed for action against the accused. The police have registered a report against the accused in the case and started an investigation.
