Police taking the dead body out of the drain

The body of the son of a sub-inspector posted in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh was found in a drain near the mini bypass in Bareilly on Sunday. The sub-inspector's son Aman was missing for two days. Aman's mother has blamed Aman's partner Rajiv Rana for this incident. She has also accused the police of negligence in the matter. She said that she had lodged a complaint two days ago, but the police remained idle. On the other hand, the police has suspected that Aman might have fallen into the drain in an inebriated state and this might have caused his death.

Now the police is waiting for the postmortem report for further investigation in the case. According to Izzatnagar Kotwal Inspector Radheshyam, Sub Inspector Sunil posted in Shahjahanpur district has married twice. He lives with his first wife, while his second wife lives here in Bareilly. Aman was the son of this second wife. He told that Aman was drunk at the time of the incident. It is suspected that he must have sat on the side of the drain to urinate, during which he must have lost his balance and died due to falling into the drain.
