However, in the exit poll, BJP candidate Smriti Irani is seen winning.

According to the exit poll, there can be a close fight between BJP and Congress in Amethi. According to the poll data, there is only a 3% vote gap between the two candidates. If we look at it this way, then the strategy of Congress in Amethi seems to be successful. However, these are not the final figures, so the vote percentage and seat figures can go up or down. How close the contest is in Amethi will be known only on June 4.

On one side is the NDA clan, and on the other side is the Indian alliance

This time in UP, Congress and Samajwadi Party are contesting the elections together. Both the parties are also part of the All India Alliance. On the other hand, there is the BJP-led NDA. It includes Anupriya Patel-led Apna Dal, Om Prakash Rajbhar-led Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and RLD.

According to the exit poll estimates, NDA may gain two seats this time compared to the last election. If we talk about party-wise seats, BJP may get 62 seats in Uttar Pradesh, Apna Dal may get 2 seats and RLD may also get 2 seats. In All India Alliance, Congress may get 3 seats and the Samajwadi Party may get 11 seats.

Congress is contesting elections on 17 seats in UP

In this election, Congress has fielded its candidates on 17 seats in Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party and others had won 63 seats. Congress had also kept the seats of Rae Bareli and Amethi. Rahul Gandhi himself is contesting from Rae Bareli, while in Amethi, the party has fielded KL Sharma against Union Minister Smriti Irani. Now how close the fight will be between these two candidates can be gauged only on June 4.
