Two Passengers Emerge Together from Train Toilet, Woman at Door Left Shocked; TT Investigates and Uncovers Truth, Both Fined
Two Passengers Fined After Incident
In a moving train, two passengers exited the toilet together, leaving a woman standing at the door startled. Other passengers also watched the unusual scene unfold. Just then, the Train Ticket Examiner (TT) arrived and began questioning the two, uncovering the entire situation.
New Delhi: In a peculiar incident on a train passing through the Jhansi Division of North Central Railway, two passengers traveling in an AC coach displayed inappropriate behavior. As the train had not stopped for an extended period, the two couldn’t resist and entered the toilet together. After completing their act, they emerged simultaneously. At that moment, a woman and other passengers standing near the door were left bewildered.
Coincidentally, the TT, who was inspecting one coach and heading to another, noticed the two passengers exiting together. Suspicious of their behavior, the TT began questioning them. Upon inquiry, the passengers admitted that they had gone inside to engage in a prohibited activity. The TT immediately imposed a fine on both individuals.
Stringent Campaign Against Violators in Jhansi Division
The Jhansi Division has initiated a strict campaign against passengers traveling without tickets, smoking, and littering at railway stations and inside trains. Special teams have been formed to conduct surprise inspections to ensure a smooth journey for passengers. During these inspections, 195 passengers were penalized, resulting in a total fine collection of ₹1,30,885.
Many irregular or ticketless passengers were seen hiding or fleeing during the checks, creating chaos at stations. The inspection teams paid special attention to women’s coaches and disabled-friendly coaches, apprehending unauthorized passengers.
Smoking in the Toilet: The Truth Revealed
During one such inspection, two passengers were seen exiting the AC coach toilet together. The TT initially suspected them to be traveling without tickets and hiding inside. However, upon checking, they produced confirmed tickets. When asked why they were together in the toilet, the passengers admitted they had gone in to smoke cigarettes.
The train had been running for an extended period without stopping at any station, and they claimed they couldn’t control their urge to smoke. Since smoking is strictly prohibited on trains, the TT fined both passengers for violating the rules.
Railway’s Ongoing Efforts to Ensure Discipline
Indian Railways has reiterated its commitment to carrying out such inspection campaigns regularly. Passengers are advised to travel with valid tickets, avoid smoking, and maintain cleanliness in the railway premises. These measures aim to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable journey for everyone.
