A minor girl committed suicide by hanging herself after being gang-raped in Smriti Nagar Police Station area. After the incident, angry relatives gheraoed the police station and demanded strict action against the accused.

The minor committed suicide two days after the gang rape incident. Before dying, the minor left a suicide note and evidence in her mobile. Currently, the accused boyfriend and his companions are absconding.

• A 17-year-old minor from Smriti Nagar Chowki area hanged herself at her home on February 18. A suicide note was found in the minor's room, in which she has accused her boyfriend Adi Barle and his associates of gangraping her.
• In the suicide note, she has mentioned some chatting on her mobile, which can prove the gang rape. At the end, she has also made a symbol of her mobile pattern lock.
• On Wednesday, the relatives of the deceased, along with the people of the society, gathered around  the police post and demanded strict action by arresting the accused.

They lived in the same neighborhood, a love affair was going on

In the preliminary investigation, the police have found out that the minor was having an affair with Adi Barle, who lives in her neighbourhood, since last June. The two used to talk on the phone and chat on WhatsApp.

After this, Adi started sexually exploiting her by promising to support her for the rest of his life. When the accused Adi's friends came to know about this, they all planned to gangrape the victim.

On February 16, Adi called the victim to his room saying that he was alone at home. After this, his friends also reached there. All of them gang-raped the victim.

The girl was so devastated by this incident that she told the whole truth to her brother and mother. After this, on the afternoon of February 18, when no one was at home, she hanged herself from the fan.

These things are written in the suicide note

In the suicide note found in the minor's room, she has mentioned her boyfriend Adi Barley. The suicide note reads, "I accept that whatever I did was my mistake, but everything happened with Adi and my consent, and apart from him, I have never done such a thing with anyone till date. This was not the first time. I used to visit his house. This has been going on since then. Everything has been going on since 2 June 2024. Sometimes forcefully and sometimes with my consent.

WhatsApp chats and some call recordings have been found from the girl's mobile phone. This confirms the relationship between the two.
