Agra. While travelling on a train, the TT was checking tickets. Some passengers were showing tickets while some were without tickets, so they had to pay a penalty. The TT asked for a ticket from a passenger sitting near the gate. He said that he had bought it but he did not have it right now. The TT said that if you are without a ticket, you will have to pay a penalty. Both of them started arguing. Then he took the TT to the bathroom. There he showed something which made him angry. After this, there was a ruckus. The matter calmed down after the RPF came.
Indian Railways is continuously running a campaign to provide comfortable travel to passengers with reservations and to catch those who travel without tickets. This campaign was started during the festive season and is still going on. Railways are getting a lot of revenue benefit from this campaign and due to this, fewer passengers are boarding the reserved coaches.
The checking campaign created chaos in trains and stations. Passengers travelling without tickets and irregularly were seen hiding here and there. During the campaign, a total of 169 passengers were caught travelling unauthorisedly, littering and smoking in trains and stations. Railway revenue and fines worth Rs 1,19,530 were collected from them.
Meanwhile, the TT asked a passenger where the ticket was, he said that he had gone to the bathroom and it had fallen there. The TT was not ready to believe him, so the passenger took him towards the bathroom, which made the TT furious. But the passenger insisted that he should come inside and check it. Then the passenger showed inside the bathroom, there was a ticket lying on the floor, which had become wet due to the water spread on the floor. Although there was a lot of argument between the two, after this the matter was settled after the arrival of RPF.
