Tirupati Laddu controversy : A controversy has arisen over the prasad distributed among the devotees in the famous Tirupati temple of Andhra Pradesh. The claim of the state's Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has shocked crores of devotees. CM Chandrababu has claimed that during the previous Jaganmohan Reddy government, prasad of laddus made of animal fat was distributed to the devotees in the Tirupati temple. After the Chief Minister's claim, crores of devotees not only in the state but also in the country are shocked.
Is the lab test report shocking?
In fact, the reason behind Andhra CM and TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu's claim that cow-pig fat or fish oil is found in Tirupati temple's Laddu Prasad is said to be the lab test report. In the lab report of the Center for Livestock and Food Analysis and Study (CALF) of the National Dairy Development Board of Gujarat, run by the Central Government, the ghee used in the Prasad is made of animal fat. All this is a case of the time when YSRCP was in power. It has been claimed that according to the report, traces of fish oil, beef fat and lard i.e. pig fat have been found in the ghee used in the temple's Prasad.
TDP and YSR Congress face to face
After Chandrababu Naidu's claim, TDP and YSRCP have come face to face. After the claim of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, the party said that when his party came to power, it improved the quality of Prasad and said that the use of animal fat hurts religious sentiments. On the other hand, YSR Congress has warned of legal action against TDP and CM Chandrababu Naidu. YSRCP leader Y.V. Subba Reddy called Naidu's statements malicious. He said that if Chandrababu Naidu or his party does not provide evidence in support of the allegations, then he will be forced to take legal action.
Karnataka Milk Federation called the claim misleading
Karnataka Milk Federation has rejected the claims being made in the Tirupati temple prasad case. Karnataka Milk Federation clarified that it has not supplied ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) for more than four years which shows that the claim of animal fat in their ghee is baseless.
