Tirupati Laddu Controversy: Writer Anand Ranganathan has strongly attacked the then Jagan Mohan Reddy government of Andhra Pradesh over the use of animal fat oil in the laddus of Tirupati temple. During an interview, Ranganathan expressed anger and said - lakhs of Hindu devotees had to consume beef fat unknowingly, which is a big tampering with the faith of Hindus. Cow is considered sacred in the Hindu community and has the highest status. He also expressed concern over the lack of legal action on this issue as well as the lack of public outrage.
Then civil war would have broken out in the country by now
Anand Ranganathan said- Lakhs of Hindu devotees have been cheated by feeding them laddus made of beef fat in Tirumala temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples in the country, despite this no arrest has been made so far. So far there has been no public outrage in this matter. Known for his outspoken opinion, Ranganathan further said- Imagine if the haleem served during the state-sponsored Iftar party had been cooked in pig oil, there would have been a civil war in this country by now. But still this is the country where ministers openly want to end Sanatan Dharma and call Hinduism a threat to the world.
