Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid tribute to them on their martyrdom day. The two younger Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji made the supreme sacrifice to protect their religion at a young age. Let us know about the biggest story in the history of Sikhs-

True tribute to Sahibzaade

On 9 January 2022, on the Prakash Parv of Guru Govind Singh Ji, PM Modi had announced that Veer Bal Diwas will be celebrated every year on 26 December, paying tribute to the martyrdom of his two sons Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. Since then, on this day, all of us Indians remember them and pay true tribute. In the year 1705, the Mughals attacked Guru Govind Singh Ji to take revenge. The family got separated in this attack.

Did not leave religion

Mata Gujri took both her grandsons and went to her cook Gangu's house in Morinda. When Gangu saw gold coins with Mata Gujri, he became greedy and informed Aurangzeb about it. Nawab Wazir Khan of Sirhind's soldiers captured Mata Gujri and both Sahibzaads. On the cold night of Poos, the children of just 7 and 5 years refused to kneel before the Mughals. Mata Gujri Devi taught them that no matter what happens, they should stick to their religion.

There were shouts of Sat Shri Akal

Wazir Khan asked the young Sahibzaads to convert to Islam but both the children started chanting 'Bole So Nihal Sat Sri Akal'. Wazir Khan said that if they do not convert by tomorrow, be ready to die. The next day too, both Sahibzaads refused to convert and started chanting. Then Wazir Khan got angry and got both of them buried alive in the wall. On 26 December 1705, two Sikh children refused to bow down to Islamic invaders and chose martyrdom.
