In Bihar's Purnia, villagers beat a mechanic to death with sticks for not repairing the electricity. The incident caused a sensation in the entire area. Police reached the spot after getting the information and got the post-mortem done. Police have arrested three accused involved in the murder. The number of accused who killed the man by beating with sticks is said to be 6. Police are conducting raids to arrest the remaining accused.

The incident is from the Kasba police station area of ​​the Purnia district. The deceased has been identified as Ranjan Mandal, a resident of Garhbaneli Park Tola, who is a private electrician by profession. According to the family members of the deceased, Ranjan Mandal went to Thakur Tola in Garhbaneli village to fix the electricity when called by a consumer. There his neighbor Bittu Thakur also came and told him that his electricity was also not working and he should fix it.

On this, the electrician said that it is night now and he cannot climb the pole to fix it. The accused asked him to fix it citing the heat. But the electrician clearly said that he would not fix it at night at any cost, he would come and fix it in the morning.

There was a dispute between Bittu Thakur and electrician Ranjan Mandal regarding repairing the electricity. Bittu Thakur told his brothers about the incident. After that, all the members started waiting on the way to the electrician's house with sticks. As soon as electrician Ranjan Mandal came, everyone attacked him with sticks.

It is said that the number of attackers was 6 and all of them beat him badly. He was beaten so badly that no part of his body did not have injury marks. All the accused fled leaving the electrician unconscious on the road due to the beating.

Police arrested three accused

The villagers informed the police about the incident. The police admitted the injured Ranjan to Purnia Medical College. Seeing the critical condition, he was advised to be taken out. The family arranged for money and took the injured mechanic to Siliguri, but he died on the way. The town police immediately became active on receiving the news of the mechanic's death.

Police arrested Bittu Thakur, Ramesh Thakur, and Ramkrishna Thakur involved in the incident. Police got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to the family. A total of 6 people have been accused of this by the family. Police are conducting raids to arrest others.
