Talking about the horrific act of the accused, SSP Ropar Gulneet Singh Khurana told in a press conference that the accused's name is Ram Saroop alias Sodhi. He had murdered Mauda Toll Plaza near Kiratpur Sahib. The three murders had given sleepless nights to the police. As soon as Ram Saroop was caught, all three incidents were traced and during interrogation, the accused surprised everyone by confessing to committing more than 10 murders. This is because no one had expected so many murders.

The accused used to carry out these crimes in Ropar, Fatehgarh Sahib and Hoshiarpur districts. The accused first made relations with the deceased Harpreet alias Sunny. Then he refused to give him money. They had a fight over this. Later the accused killed Harpreet. He carried out all the crimes in the same way. The accused is completely addicted to drugs. Due to this, his family members had already thrown him out. The surprising thing is that the accused is married and has three children. If the accused felt remorse after committing the murder, he would even touch the feet of the dead body.
