META played an important role in this. As soon as the young man who was trying to commit suicide consumed the expired medicine, he made a video of it and posted it on Instagram. META sent an alert to the police. Without wasting time, the police reached the young man's location within 10 minutes. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. This saved the young man's life.

The incident is from the Sairapur area. Here an intermediate student, upset with his girlfriend, tried to commit suicide by consuming expired medicine. According to the information, on Tuesday at 2:18 pm, an intermediate student living in the Sairapur police station area uploaded a video on Instagram of committing suicide by taking an overdose of old medicine kept at home. Meta company took immediate action on the video. An alert was sent by e-mail to the social media center of the DGP office.

According to DGP Prashant Kumar, the location was traced from the STF control room, and the police media cell was informed at 2:28 pm. The location was traced to the Sairpur police station area. Then in just 10 minutes, the Sairpur police station in charge reached the student's house with his team. He listened to the student's problem and counseled him. The boy said - his girlfriend had said something that hurt him. Hurt by that, he wanted to commit suicide. So he ate 10 tablets of old medicine that were kept in the house. He then uploaded the video of him eating the medicine on Instagram.

The police station in charge immediately made the student vomit by giving him water. He was sent to the hospital along with his family for treatment. The police also went to the hospital with him. The student promised the police that he would not commit such a mistake again.

528 people saved their lives

Police said- As soon as we got the alert, we found out the location of the youth. Then we reached his house and took the youth to the hospital. UP Police has saved the lives of 528 people in this way from 1 January 2023 to 20 September.
