The doctor was shocked after removing one of the twins, he ran away leaving the other one in the womb
A child died during the delivery of twins in BDK Hospital of Jhunjhunu. The family has accused the doctors of negligence, while the hospital administration has rejected the allegations.
Jhunjhunu. A case of alleged negligence during the delivery of a woman has come to light in the MCH wing of the Government Bhagwandas Khetan Hospital (BDK) in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. The family of the pregnant woman has alleged that after safely delivering one of the twins, the doctors and nursing staff abandoned the birth of the second child, due to which the second child died.
The first child was born alive, but the second did not come out
The family says that Anita Saini was brought to BDK Hospital on Friday night when she suffered from labour pains. After being admitted here, the doctors examined her and told them that the woman was carrying twins. During the delivery, the first child was born alive, but the second child did not come out. It is alleged that the doctors cut the umbilical cord and asked the family to take the pregnant woman to some other hospital at night. The family was forced to admit the woman to a private hospital, but by then the second child had died. The family said that the doctor of the private hospital confirmed that there was negligence during delivery, due to which the second child died.
The negligence of the doctors was shameful
BDK Hospital PMO Dr Rajveer Rao rejected the allegations and said that the second child was in a dead state and was not coming down. He said that the doctors had advised them to wait for a while, but the family took the woman to a private hospital in a hurry. They got her referred by submitting a written application. Regarding this matter, the brother-in-law of the pregnant woman, Sahdev Saini, has filed a complaint of negligence against the doctors and nursing staff at the Kotwali police station. Police station in-charge Pawan Kumar Choubey said that the complaint is being investigated and necessary action will be taken against the culprits.
