Lok Sabha Chunav: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday slammed former Pakistani minister Chaudhary Fawad Hussain for his statement in which Chaudhary appealed for the defeat of hate-mongering and extremist forces in the Lok Sabha elections. Kejriwal said that elections are India's internal matter and it will not tolerate interference from the 'biggest sponsors of terrorism'. In the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, voting was held in a total of 58 parliamentary constituencies, including seven constituencies of Delhi, on Saturday.

The comment on Kejriwal's post proved costly

After casting his vote, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Kejriwal shared a picture of his family on the social media platform 'X' in which all the members are showing inked fingers. Along with this, Kejriwal said in his post that he voted against 'dictatorship, inflation, and unemployment'. Sharing Kejriwal's post on 'X' with the hashtags 'More Power' and 'India Election 2024', Hussain said, 'May peace and harmony defeat the hate-mongering and extremist forces.'

Kejriwal hit back

Minutes after Hussain's post, Kejriwal hit back at him, saying his post was unnecessary. "Choudhary Sahab, my countrymen and I are fully capable of handling our issues. Your comment is not needed. The situation in Pakistan is very bad right now. You take care of your country," Kejriwal said on 'X'. In another post, the chief minister said elections are India's internal matter and the country will not tolerate interference from the "biggest sponsors of terrorism".

In response to Kejriwal's post, Hussain said...

Responding to Kejriwal's post, Hussain said, "Chief Minister sahab! , Elections are your matter but I hope you will realize that extremism, whether in Pakistan or India, is a borderless concept and is dangerous for everyone whether it is Bangladesh, Pakistan, or India. So every person who has some consciousness should be worried...." He said that the situation in Pakistan is very different from the ideal situation but people, wherever they are, should strive for a better society.

BJP leader took a dig

Attacking Kejriwal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that Pakistan has also jumped in to support the AAP leader's politics of corruption. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said that his party has been saying that "Kejriwal is in cahoots with the enemies of the country." Sachdeva said, "Chaudhary Fawad Hussain is speaking now. He had also written a social media post on Kejriwal's release. Five phases of elections have been completed but no comment was made, now when elections are being held in Delhi, a statement has come from Pakistan. This shows that Kejriwal has the support of Pakistan."
