NaMo Drone Didi Scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2023, is a scheme that aims to empower women in the agriculture sector by providing them training in drone technology. It aims to distribute 15,000 drones to women associated with self-help groups. Under this scheme, women will get technical knowledge as well as training in flying drones. The training will cover various aspects, including the use of drones in agricultural activities such as crop monitoring, pesticide spraying and seed sowing.

Women participating in the Namo Drone Didi scheme will not only get training in flying drones but will also get technical knowledge of using drones for various agricultural operations. Additionally, participants will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000 during the training period.

To be eligible for this scheme, women will have to join self-help groups. The training will equip them with the skills to operate drones effectively and perform various agricultural activities. The technical knowledge provided will include aspects such as crop monitoring, application of pesticides and fertilizers, and proper seed planting methods.

At present, the official website for applying under this scheme has not been launched.
