The cousin's brother had been proven guilty in the case of rape and murder of a 5-year-old girl. The judge was about to pronounce the verdict. Before this, he asked the accused if he wanted to say anything. The accused said that he should be hanged. After this, the judge quoted the verse from Kishkindha Kand in Shri Ram Charit Manas-

The judge pronounced the death sentence on the accused. The case pertains to Sohagpur Session Court of the district court in Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh.

Additional District and Sessions Judge SK Choubey was hearing this incident which took place on 25 December 2021 in Shobhapur town. The accused had committed this crime by taking the 5-year-old minor girl to the roof of the house and strangling her to death for fear of getting caught. At that time, the police had registered a case against an unknown person, but while investigating the case, the police finally caught the accused and presented him in court. The accused Kishan alias Chinnu Machhiya is the son of the real maternal uncle of the deceased girl.

The accused himself asked for the death penalty

After the guilt was proved, ADJ Suresh Kumar Choubey was going to pronounce the sentence against the accused on Wednesday. The accused was brought for this. The judge asked the accused if he wanted to say anything before the verdict. In response, the accused said that he should be hanged. After hearing this, ADJ SK Choubey recited the quatrain of Kishkindha Kand to the court, 'Younger brother's wife, sister, son and wife. Listen fool, these four are like daughters. Whoever casts an evil eye on them, he is not punished for that.' He said that even a death sentence would be less for you. In this quatrain, Goswami Tulsidas ji writes that when Lord Rama shot an arrow at Sugriva's elder brother Bali, Bali asked a question. He had asked why he shot the arrow secretly. In response to this, Lord explains to Bali that even if a person who casts an evil eye on his younger brother's wife, sister's daughter, and daughter-in-law is killed, he does not commit any sin.

The court considered it a rare to rarest case

While writing his decision, he said that the rape of an innocent, innocent, naive girl is the rarest of rare incidents. In this, the rape of a cousin is even more heinous. Every person present there expressed happiness on this decision of the court. This case was defended by AGP Shankar Lal Malviya and ADPO Babulal Kakodia. According to AGP Shankar Lal Malviya, the court heard the case with as much seriousness as the case was and finally gave its decision. He said that the innocent girl with whom this incident happened had not even seen the world yet.
