Marriage of a minor girl
According to media reports, this 14-year-old girl is a resident of a small village in the Thottamandhu hilly area near Hosur in Thimmathur, Tamil Nadu. She had studied till class 7 in a local school and was staying at home. But on March 3, the girl's family got her married to a 29-year-old laborer from Kalikuttai village in Karnataka. During this time, the girl kept screaming but no one present there had any mercy.
The husband forcibly picked her up and took her to his village
After the marriage, when the girl returned to her village Thimmattur, she told her parents and relatives that she did not like this marriage. After this, Madhesh and his elder brother decided to forcibly take the girl from her relative's house to their village Kalikuttai. During this time, the girl kept crying loudly and kept pleading for help from people. Police arrested the accused
The women police of Thenkanikottai intervened and got a complaint lodged by the girl's grandmother. The police have arrested the girl's husband Madhesh, her brother Mallesh and mother Nagamma for forcing the 14-year-old minor girl to marry. \
