After this, the accused also killed the mother-in-law who came to save her daughter. When the neighbours informed the police about this incident, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused.
There was suspicion of an affair
According to the information, in 2017, the accused Peter Joseph had a love marriage with the deceased Kamini. After this, the accused's mother-in-law Pushpa also lived with them. In this case, the police say that the accused Peter did not run away from the spot after killing his wife and mother-in-law, but he locked the gate of the house from inside and sat near the dead body for about half an hour and kept watching them. It is being told that Peter suspected his wife of having an illicit relationship with another man and due to this, he killed his wife by slitting her throat with a chopper and hitting his mother-in-law on the head with an iron rod in his house at Chakeri on Sunday night.
It was a love marriage
The accused had a love marriage and after marriage, his mother-in-law Pushpa also lived with him. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Rajesh Srivastava informed in this case that Joseph Peter worked in a private canteen. Joseph suspected that his wife was having an illicit relationship with a young man from Delhi. Joseph hired an auto to take his wife out on a Sunday, but his wife refused to go. After this, there was a lot of argument between the two and Peter committed this incident in anger.
Police reached the spot
Hearing the screams in this incident, neighbour Sanjeev Gupta immediately informed the police about the matter. On receiving the information of this incident, Chakeri police reached the spot and saw that the bodies of Kamini and Pushpa were lying on the ground soaked in blood. Police immediately arrested the accused Joseph Peter alias Badal. The accused is a resident of Bulandshahr and a murder case has been registered against him. The accused will be presented in court on Monday. According to the police, the accused Peter did not run away from the spot after the incident but locked the door of the house from the inside and kept sitting near the dead bodies and watching them for about half an hour.
