Holi festival is about to come and people have already started preparations for it. Even in colleges and universities, students have started asking for permission to organize Holi Milan. A shocking case related to this has come to light. This case is of Aligarh Muslim University. Actually, the Hindu students of the university had sought permission from the Vice Chancellor of AMU to organize Holi Milan, but the Proctor of the University refused, due to which there is a lot of resentment among the students. Student Akhil Kaushal has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take cognizance of this matter.

AMU student Akhil Kaushal said that on February 25, Hindu students had handed over a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor to a professor of Aligarh Muslim University and had sought permission to organize a Holi Milan in the NRSC Club of AMU on March 9. The Vice-Chancellor called a meeting of the professors regarding this, but later when the students asked about it again, they were told that they would not be given permission to organize a Holi Milan function.

will not do anything against AMU

Student Akhil Kaushal said that we estimate that if Holi Milan Samaroh takes place, then about 500 to 1000 students will come to NRC Club to play Holi on 9 March 2025, but no one is giving us in writing that the permission is being cancelled nor that the permission is being given. Akhil also said that we are people who maintain law and order, we will not do anything that will spoil the law and order. He said that until the AMU administration does not give us permission for such a big event, we will not do anything against them.

'We have no problem with religious processions'

Akhil Kaushal said, 'I have only one question that iftar parties are organized in every department and hostel of MU. We had only once talked about organizing a Holi Milan function at one place, but many people have a problem with that too. We have no problem with any religious procession or any event, but if the Vice Chancellor of AMU considers Aligarh Muslim University as a mini India, then she should give permission to organize religious festivals of every religion to celebrate them peacefully.'
