A sensational case of murder has come to light in Surat district of Gujarat. The body of an unknown girl was found in a plastic drum at a construction site in Bheestan area here. Sand and cement were filled in the drum to hide the body. When an employee working at the site saw the drum lying in a suspicious condition, he informed the police. When the police reached the spot after receiving the information and cut the drum with a cutter, the body of the girl was found in it. At present, the police have registered a case of murder and started investigation.

The incident is of last Tuesday. A suspicious drum filled with cement was found lying at a deserted place on Eklera-Bhanodara road in Bheestan area. The drum was heavy and slightly open, which made the police suspect that there was a dead body inside it. The police took the drum in their possession and went to the civil hospital. When the drum was cut with a cutter in the hospital, the dead body of a girl was found inside it. The body of the girl was lying upside down and there was no hair on her head. Apart from the dead body, the drum was also filled with clothes, sand and cement.

Police is investigating CCTV footage

Bheestan police said that the girl is around 30 years old. Police suspected that the girl must have been strangled to death about two to three days ago, then the girl's body must have been placed in a drum and filled with sand and cement. Bheestan police said that a case of murder has been registered in the matter. CCTV footage of the area is being scanned. People in the vicinity are also being questioned.

Cement had frozen on the dead body

Police said that first an employee of Tata Petrochemical Company saw the drum. He found something suspicious and informed the police. When the police team reached the spot, they saw that the drum had been dropped in a water filled place. The weight of the drum was also 200-250 kg. In such a situation, due to the fear of something untoward, the drum was cut with a cutter, inside which the dead body of the girl was found. The body was in a very bad condition. Cement had frozen on the dead body. A lot of effort had to be made to remove the cement.
