Prayagraj. Allahabad High Court protected a 17 years 8 months old girl and ordered her to be sent to Nari Niketan. The girl presented her case in court and said that her life was in danger in her father's house. The court considered this seriously and declared the habeas corpus petition meaningless and rejected it.
The daughter called the FIR written by her father false.
This order was given by Justice Saurabh Srivastava during the hearing of a habeas corpus petition. In the petition, the girl was demanded to be freed from her alleged illegal bondage. However, the girl appeared in the court and clearly said that she had left the house on her own will. She called the report filed by her father against Anuj Kumar and his family fake and said that no one had forcibly held her hostage. After the girl's statement, the High Court granted bail to the accused Anuj.
Where is the case from?
It is worth noting that the habeas corpus petition for the girl was filed by Satish Kumar, a resident of Muzaffarnagar. Based on the allegations levelled in it, the police have accused Anuj and his parents and son-in-law of kidnapping and holding the minor girl hostage. The father also said that these people had held our girl hostage and made her disappear somewhere.
The girl said that she is working in Dehradun
The girl who appeared in the court from Haridwar on the orders of Allahabad High Court said that she had gone to her friend in Dehradun for a job. She said that she is more than 17 years and 8 months old. She stated that no one has deceived or kidnapped her, she is educated herself and gives tuition to small children. She said that she had come from Haridwar on her own. She clearly stated that if she is sent with her father, she may be killed.
The girl denied having any relationship with the accused
During this, the girl clearly said that she has no connection with the people who have been accused of making her disappear. She also said that her life is in danger if she goes into the custody of her father. The court took cognizance of the girl's statement and directed her to keep her in Nari Niketan. Also, the court directed the District Probation Officer Prayagraj to ensure her care until she becomes an adult.

Keeping these facts in mind, the High Court dismissed the petition and ordered the girl to be kept in Nari Niketan. In this case, the Additional Government Advocate has been asked to ensure compliance with the order with the help of the courtesy registrar.
