RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Monday said that he was advised earlier but now he is looking into it.
Mohan Bhagwat: During a program organized in Pune, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has given a big statement about minorities. "Earlier, we (India) were advised on the issue of minorities but now we see what is happening in other countries.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday said India has often been advised to pay attention to the issues of its minorities but now we are seeing what kind of situation the minority communities are facing in other countries. Speaking at the inauguration of the 'Hindu Seva Mahotsav', he also said that hegemony was being tried by talking about world peace.
"Big announcements are being made about world peace. We (India) are also being advised about world peace but at the same time, wars are not stopping. While we are often asked to worry about the minorities in our country, we are seeing what kind of conditions minorities are facing outside," he said.
Though the RSS chief made no reference to violence against the Hindu community in neighbouring Bangladesh, the RSS has expressed concern about the condition of Hindus in that country after the ouster of the Sheikh Hasina government in recent weeks. "Manav Dharma is the eternal religion of all religions, which is world religion and is also called Hindu religion but the world has forgotten this religion. They have the same religion but they forgot and that is why today we are seeing different kinds of problems like environment and other issues," he said.
